Children need to move to enhance learning!

Research shows that children perform better in school when they have movement or physical activity.  Research also shows that children learn better the more senses they use.

Take a look at "Brain Rules"
Rule One states that "Exercise boosts brain power" and our schools need to change to provide the best environment for learning.

Harvard psychiatrist, John Ratey, calls exercise "Miracle-Gro" for the brain by providing a stimulus that creates an environment in which the brain is ready, willing, and able to learn.

Over the next few weeks, I want to share some schools that are integrating movement to enhance learning.

If you know of a program, please share it so we can all learn for the benefit of our children's learning.
